As project costs increase and expedited timelines become more valuable, there's more pressure to stay within budget and adhere to tight timelines. Navigating these challenges requires not just efficient procurement, but also effective management of surplus materials and assets. In this episode, we'll hear from Dennis Hernandez and Wendy Galloway, two team members at ARS Global about resourcing project materials as an alternative to manufacturing new.
Resource materials are project components that were originally sourced from a project that was canceled or surplus from an already completed project. These materials were never used and are in ready condition for redeployment. They're immediately available from ARS Global. To date, there's over 600 miles of resourced pipe used in completed pipelines in Texas and Louisiana. First, we'll hear from Dennis about what project managers and buyers should look for when they procure engineered components, specifically valves.

Most end users, project managers and buyers and the technical teams, first go to the stalwarts of the industry. Some of the brands that we carry that are considered the Cadillacs of the valve world are Cameron, Grove, WKM, M&J-M303, Vanessa Triple Offset Valves, Nordstrom Plug Valves, Tom Wheatley Check Valves. These are all brands that have built a name on pretty much the four pillars of oil and gas asset management, which are quality, reliability, safety and performance. These brands are known to operate seamlessly for decades. They provide the lowest total cost of ownership over the long term. And these are the brands that pretty much the oil and gas industry has built a solid reputation on for being one of the safest industries in the United States.

To preserve the safety and reliability of the energy infrastructure, maintaining quality of project materials is vital. Resource materials offer operators the necessary reassurance and quality control that can't be sacrificed in a pipeline project. Dennis explains how procurement organizations can know that their purchase is the right one.

By coming out and looking at what they want to buy. They can come out to one of our warehouses or facilities and actually put their hands on what it is that we're quoting. We only quote what we sell. There's no guesswork involved. If we have a client that is looking at buying one valve or 100 valves from us, they with their technical team, with their inspectors, can come out and do a complete 360 of what it is they're buying. The physical product, documentation and traceability. We can even connect them to somebody from the manufacturer that can provide any clarification on any questions that they might have. We've done that before. We're so willing to do that for any client that is willing to consider us for a purchase.

These on the ground inspection services are part of the turnkey experience that ARS Global offers. We'll hear from Wendy as she discusses more about how turnkey services have helped our clients, depending on what they needed to get their project completed successfully.

One thing ARS Global offers to our customers is turnkey solutions. We have the ability to, and the manpower, to bring trucks in to pick up pipe and have it delivered to your location. If you need the pipe stripped and recoded, we can configure that for you as well. If you just need it stripped, you need a bear, we can do that for you too and include that all in the price. So it's a one stop shop, if you will. Some customers don't need that. Some customers just need to bring their trucks in and pick up the pipe. And that's perfectly fine with us as well. But we do offer turnkey solutions here at ARS Global.

In recent years, we've seen increased pressure to decrease construction costs and timelines. Product sourcing innovations are necessary to meeting that demand and resourcing is an alternative to the extended lead times and long manufacturing cycles that can bog down projects. That's it for this month's episode of Coming Down the Pipe. Be sure to rate this episode and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. We'll see you next month.
